Who We Are

Prashanthi Balamandira Trust serves children through its core competency of education, which is bequeathed as a gift and as a right to every child, considering it as an investment into creating a better future for the individual child, its family, society, nation, and the world at large. The Trust embraces every child in its warmth of love by giving the best for every child, and in its zeal of giving holistically, absolutely free of cost, by also providing for the child’s nutrition and healthcare needs, all intended to ultimately bring out the true potential of every child. It also organises disaster management activities, global youth meets and education conferences, keeping in mind the child’s development, socially, intellectually, morally and spiritually. Currently, the Trust operates 21 educational Campuses along with 6 other Campuses of its allied Trusts, which provides quality, values-based, integral and spiritual education from Grade 6 till Doctoral studies absolutely free of cost for both boys and girls. Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence at Kalaburagi district in Karnataka is the higher education wing of the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust.

Maternal and infant health is also of prime importance and is kept at the heart of the various activities and initiatives undertaken every year by PBT, independently through its free multi-disciplinary hospital, Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital established at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, and also in conjunction with its allied Trust that operates free paediatric heart care hospitals known as Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Child Heart Care Hospitals at five cities (Nava Raipur Atal Nagar - Chhattisgarh, Palwal - Haryana, Navi Mumbai – Maharashtra, Siddipet - Telangana, Muddenahalli - Karnataka) in India.

PBT supports the nutrition needs of children in collaboration with its allied Trust that provides free morning nutrition (Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Programme) to over 1,200,000 children every single morning.

Thus, the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust along with its allied organisations works with the underlying knowledge and experience of a commonness that connects everything in ‘one’ unifying sense of belonging to the same essence of consciousness. This brings about a strong grounding to its motivation and incessant efforts towards giving for all selflessly, freely and liberally; keeping the need and welfare of others as paramount.

Thus, the alignment between aspiration, awareness and action brings forth true sustainability in all that the Trust undertakes.
