The Trust has revolutionised the very concept of education through its unique philosophy of a ‘pay it forward’ model called ‘Each One Educate One’. ‘Financial Sustainability’ of the Trust towards providing free education for students is taken care of by this unique approach wherein the urge to think for others and the opportunity to be altruistic for a noble cause, by believing it as a responsibility than a favour, is laid out by the Each One Educate One Programme. It is an initiative of the alumni of the various Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions, to bring quality education to rural India based on the verity of ‘Right of Education to All’. This concept of E1E1 has been accepted by people from various walks of life throughout India and abroad, and they have pledged for the cause of educating atleast one child on the planet as their responsibility rather than from a sense of charity. Infact, the alumni also serve in various capacities within the Institutions of PBMT, thus making sustainability and perpetuity a working reality.

E1E1 is anchored in the ideal of education as a service to society and every individual in the society as a stakeholder in rendering this service. The programme is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children who would otherwise have little access to education, and help break their intergenerational cycle of poverty, myths and social evils. This initiative is an earnest step in this direction, with the intent to ensure every child has the opportunity to quality education. It is an excellent platform for collaborating for a cause that is humbling to one’s perspective about life and therapeutic to one’s soul.
